Volkov said he was ready to fight Pavlovich in the Candidates and Championship fight
Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Alexander Volkov called the condition for the fight with compatriot Sergei Pavlovich. The words of the athlete leads Metaratings.
“I would fight him if it was a Candidates and Championship fight and he said the same thing. You have to be ready to take on any opponent,” Volkov said.
On July 29, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced the date for Volkov’s next fight. The Russian will fight in heavyweight against Australian Ty Tuivasa. The fight will take place on September 10 at UFC 293 in Sydney.
In total, the 34-year-old Volkov has 36 wins (24 of which by knockout) with ten defeats in mixed martial arts. The Russian has been performing in the UFC since 2016. Pavlovich currently ranks first in the UFC heavyweight rankings along with American Jon Jones and Frenchman Cyril Gan. The 31-year-old Russian fighter has 18 wins in 19 fights.
