The team of British boxer Daniel Dubois filed a protest against the result of the duel with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. This was announced by Dubois promoter Frank Warren, whose words are available on the Seconds Out YouTube channel.
Warren said that the complaint was finalized in accordance with all the rules, after its consideration, hearings will be held. “I would like them to make the right decision, I hope they call for a rematch. To be realistic, I don’t think they will annul the result of the fight. He deserves a rematch,” he said, adding that there are many photos and videos that show the place of impact and the reaction of the referee.
On August 27, Usyk defeated Dubois. The referee recorded the victory of the Ukrainian by technical knockout in the ninth round. The Ukrainian defended the heavyweight championship belts according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and International Boxing Organization (IBO). The 26-year-old Dubois lost for the second time, with 19 wins to his credit.
