The F League and the unions that form the social bank for the renewal of the collective agreement for women’s football will continue the talks this Wednesday To try to avoid the strike called for the first two days of the championshipafter almost five hours of negotiations this Tuesday.

After a first meeting, held on Monday, in which no agreement was reached, the parties met again this afternoon at the SIMA (Interconfederal Mediation and Arbitration Service), and they have met again for this Wednesday, to try to unblock the situation, as confirmed by sources of the negotiation.

Before the announcement of the call for the strike, the parties had already scheduled the meeting on Monday, in which the main differences related to the minimum wage, which is currently set at 16,000 euros. The players’ claim is that it reaches 30,000 euros in the 2024-25 season, with an amount of 20,000 with retroactive effect for the past campaign and 25,000 in the present.

In this sense, the last proposal raised by the League is to start with the amount of 18,000 euros, and reach 25,000 in the third season.

The unions FUTPRO, AFE, CC. OO., Footballers ON and UGT, which form the social bank, announced on the 1st the call for a strike for the first two days of the competition, which should begin on Friday, the 8th, with the Seville-Tenerife match (21 :00 hours), in the absence of an agreement with the employer to improve the collective agreement in aspects such as salary, partiality, maternity, training or abuse protocol.
