Aris signed a contract with Kokorin for a season with the option of a one-year extension
The Cypriot football club “Aris” revealed the terms of a new contract with Russian striker Alexander Kokorin. Alexey Dozortsev, marketing director of the team, told Sport24 about this.
“We are very glad that Kokorin is with us again. This will be a contract for the season with the option of extending for another year, ”Dozortsev said, adding that it was quite difficult to return the player. The Italian Fiorentina, for which the athlete currently plays, confirmed the fact of his lease.
Earlier on September 5, Aris announced the return of Kokorin. The forward has been with the team since August 2022 on loan. It was reported that in Cyprus they were satisfied with the performance of the Russian, but they could not buy him out because of the high salary, so at the end of the 2022/2023 season he returned to Italy.
On July 17, Kokorin participated in the Fiorentina match for the first time in 15 months. The striker entered the field in a friendly match between the Violets main team against the youth team and scored an assist. Kokorin’s contract with the club runs until June 30, 2024.
