Andrzej Wilk was born in 1943 in Kowala. In 1965, he graduated from the Acting Department of the PWST in Krakow and made his theater debut in the same year. In 1994, he received the award for the best theatrical episode for the role of Reba Isze in the play “Mother Joan of the Angels” at the Polski Theater in Wrocław in a plebiscite organized by the Wrocław Society of Theater Friends and the editorial staff of “Słowa Polskie”.
For years, he played in the following theaters in Wrocław: Dramatyczny, Polski, and Współczesny. In the second half of the 1980s, he appeared on the stage of the Polski Theater in Poznań, and in the years 1990-2017 he returned to the Polski Theater in Wrocław. In 2002, the actor was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit.
Andrzej Wilk made his debut on the big screen in Włodzimierz Haupe’s psychological film “Almost Like New Clothes”, then he also appeared in the cast of Kazimierz Kutz’s “Jump”. For years he played episodic roles in television shows such as “Rezerwat”, “Interrogation of Robert W.” or “House in a Small Town”.
He played his next film role again in Kazimierz Kutz’s “Salt of the Black Earth”, then he played in “Zasieki” by Andrzej Jerzy Piotrowski, “Run away as close as possible” by Janusz Zaorski and “Plague” by Roman Załuski. In 1982, he played an episodic role in “Wielki Szu” by Sylwester Chęciński. He also played in series such as “Life Like Poker” and “Hot Topics”. He died on September 3, 2023.
