With Jorginho, IFFHS announces roster of the best players in the world in 2021

The International Federation of History and Statistics (IFFHS) announced, on Tuesday, the selection of the best players in the world in 2021.

The team with the most names on the list is the PSG, which has four representatives. The highlight goes to Lionel Messi. The Argentine, champion of the Copa America, recently was also awarded by France Football with its seventh golden ball, award given to the best player in the world in an election held by the French magazine.

Besides Messi, there are also full-back Achraf Hakimi, who represented Inter Milan last season, and forward Kylian Mbappé. Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma, European Cup champion and named best player of the tournament, appears in goal.

Two other champions with Italy were named. They are: Leonardo Bonucci, from Juventus, and the Italian-Brazilian Jorginho, who also won the Champions League with the Chelsea.

Manchester City e Bayern Munchen have two representatives. On the English side, appear the Portuguese defender Rúben Dias and midfielder Kevin De Bruyne. The Germans include full-back Alphonso Davies and forward Robert Lewandowski.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who left Juventus to return to Manchester United, completes the list of the IFFHS.
