The head coach of the Russian national football team Valery Karpin has announced three friendly matches in September. It is reported by “Match TV”.
“Everyone has long known about Qatar, two more friendly matches with the Egyptian Olympic team, as far as I know, were confirmed even by the Secretary General of the Football Federation of this country,” the specialist noted. The coach emphasized that the Russian Football Union (RFU) did not officially announce the matches, since the contracts have not yet been signed.
Karpin added that players born no earlier than 2001 will be involved in the matches against Egypt. There will be no age restrictions in the game with Qatar.
The composition of the Russian national team for the September training camp, which included 49 players, was published on August 30. It was specified that the team would train from September 4 to 12 in Novogorsk.
