“Zenith” with a score of 0:1 lost to “Baltika” in the group stage match of the Cup of Russia
Zenit lost to Baltika in the match of the third round of the group stage of the Russian Cup RPL tournament. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
The meeting was held in Kaliningrad and ended with the score 1:0 in favor of the hosts. The only goal of the game was scored by Angelo Henriquez, who hit the gate in the 43rd minute. In the last minutes of the match, Baltika players Evgeny Latyshonok and Gedeon Guzina, as well as Zenit midfielder Wendel, received yellow cards.
Baltika has won all the past matches of the Russian Cup. Thanks to this, the team with nine points secured the first line of the Group C standings. Zenit has six points in its assets and is in second place.
Earlier, in another match of group C, Akhmat Grozny defeated Samara Krylya Sovetov at home. The match ended with the score 3:1. “Akhmat” with three points is in third place in the table of the quartet, “Wings of the Soviets”, which did not score points, close it.
