Sport-Express: Trusova will miss the 2023/2024 season due to lack of motivation
Russian figure skater Alexandra Trusova decided to skip the 2023/2024 competitive season. It is reported by “Sport-Express”.
According to the source, the athlete has reduced training activity. Among the reasons why she made this decision is the lack of international starts and, as a result, motivation, as well as controversial refereeing at domestic tournaments, health and employment in the show.
Earlier it became known that 19-year-old Trusova was not included in the main team of Russia for the upcoming season. Later, the skater was included in the reserve team.
Trusova is the silver medalist of the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. At the tournament, she set a historic record by jumping five quadruple jumps in the free skate. The figure skater also has a bronze medal at the World Championship and two bronze medals at the European Championship. She has not competed since November 2022.
