Japan, under pressure, challenges Australia in the Asian Qualifiers

Tuesday marks the fourth round of the decisive round of the Asian Qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, which will be played in Qatar. In Group B Japan, which has managed to qualify for all World Cups since 1998, enter the field under pressure to challenge Australia in Group B in Saitama.

The Japanese appear in third place with three points, six less than Australia, which shares the lead with Saudi Arabia. Thus, a Japanese stumble can leave the team in a very delicate situation. That’s because only the top two in each bracket advance to the World Cup.

Japan’s situation could be further complicated as Saudi Arabia does their homework and defeats China, who have three points. In the other match of the key Oman, which adds three points, they receive the lantern Vietnam, which did not score.

For Group A, there is a clash of leaders. The South Koreans appear with seven points. The two teams are with the classification very well underway.

With two points in this key appear UAE, Libya and Iraq. Syria holds the lantern with one point gained.

At this stage of the dispute, the teams play in turn and return within their groups in the running points system. At the end, the top two in each bracket advance to the World Cup.
