Usyk’s manager Klimas says he could fight Hrgovic next
The manager of the Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, Egis Klimas, named his next possible opponent. It is reported by Boxing Scene.
“[Филип] Hrgovic is the mandatory challenger. If we want a unification fight with [Тайсоном] Fury, we need to hurry. If this fails, then, of course, Hrgovic will be next, ”Klimas said.
On the night of August 27, Usyk defeated Englishman Daniel Dubois by TKO in the ninth round. The Ukrainian athlete defended the world heavyweight titles according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and International Boxing Organization (IBO).
In July, Usyk said that Fury was afraid to fight him. Before that, information appeared that the Briton refused to fight the Ukrainian at the super tournament in Saudi Arabia, which is scheduled to be held in December 2023. Initially, the boxers were supposed to meet in April, but failed to agree on the distribution of fees.
Usyk has 21 wins in 21 fights. Hrgovic has 16 wins and no losses.
