Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk after defeating Daniel Dubois said he was ready to fight Tyson Fury. His words on Sunday, August 27, are quoted by Sport24.

“When will the fight against Fury take place? I’m ready even tomorrow. Whether Tyson wants this, I don’t know. But I want to fight him. In the meantime, I want to see my family, children, I want to return home, ”said 36-year-old Usyk.

On the night of August 27, Usyk defeated Dubois by TKO in the ninth round. The Ukrainian athlete defended the world heavyweight titles according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and International Boxing Organization (IBO).

In July, Usyk said that Fury was afraid to fight him. Before that, information appeared that the Briton refused to fight the Ukrainian at the super tournament in Saudi Arabia, which is scheduled to be held in December 2023. Initially, the boxers were supposed to meet in April, but failed to agree on the distribution of fees.

Usyk has 21 wins in 21 fights. Fury has 33 wins, one draw and no losses in his career. He owns the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight championship belt.
