CSKA Russian goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev explained the appearance of a video where he performs a reggae song in the guise of a rastaman. The post is available on Instagram.
The 35-year-old goalkeeper revealed the story behind the video’s creation. The song was performed on the set of the musical series of the Russian musician Sergei Zhukov, known for the group “Hands Up!”
According to Akinfeev, Zhukov persuaded him to take part in the filming of the series and perform the song. The first episode of the series “Evgenich” will be shown on the TV channel “Friday!” already on December 9th.
A video of the song performed by Akinfeev appeared on the network on November 24. “It is unclear whether there will be a goal,” the goalkeeper sang.
The goalkeeper spent his entire professional career at CSKA Moscow. In October 2018, he finished playing for the national team. Together with the Russian national team, he won bronze medals at the European Championship in 2008.
