Deputies submitted to the State Duma a bill on raising the flag before the competitions in Russia
Deputies Leonid Slutsky and Dmitry Svishchev took the initiative to introduce a mandatory ceremony with the raising of the national flag before every sporting event in Russia. According to Match TV, the parliamentarians submitted the relevant bill to the State Duma.
Commenting on this initiative, Svishchev drew attention to the fact that now the legislation does not regulate the mentioned procedure, which is why the organizers of sports events are free to choose whether they want to hold this ceremony.
“For some reason, there is no law that you need to show the Russian flag. Here, at home, no one limits us. Some regulations limit ours,” he said, emphasizing that such regulations should be removed.
Earlier, the political scientist called the flag of Russia a symbol of the struggle of peoples for justice.
