One of the organizers of the deadly excursion in the underground sewers of Moscow managed to leave Russia. It is reported by REN TV.
According to the channel, Alexander Kim, CEO of Sputnik, and Alexander Lazovsky, CEO of Avangard, were put on the wanted list in a high-profile case. The latter escaped from the Russian Federation and is presumably in the UAE, the TV channel reports. At the same time, Kim may be in St. Petersburg.
The media emphasizes that the Sputnik company, which offered tickets for a dangerous tour of Moscow’s underground sewers, did not have official registration. At the same time, the organizers of underground tours could not be unaware of the risks to which they exposed their customers. In addition, weather forecasts warned of a high probability of heavy rains, but despite this, the digger instructors did not cancel the planned event. Also, the underground tours of the Sputnik company were not coordinated with the municipal services of Moscow.
Meanwhile, rescuers found the body of the fifth victim in the area of Zaryadye Park in Moscow. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case. The tour organizer is being questioned by investigators. The excursion, some of whose participants died, took place the day before. When heavy rain began in Moscow, people were underground. The water rose sharply, the diggers had practically no chance to escape. A company of eight people could be washed away by a stream of water and dragged underground for a distance of about two kilometers, Life noted. The search for people continues.
