In a long penalty shootout, Inter Miami won the League Cup title against Nashville SC. Lionel Messi was the figure of the duel, but the crown was also celebrated by Ecuadorians Leonardo Campana and Dixon Arroyo.
One of the most excited people at this championship was the former Emelec player, who carried the flag of Ecuador during his celebration.
“You suffer (penalties), but we really enjoyed being able to win. I love my country very much, enjoy it, this is theirs and thanks for your support, Up Ecuador!” he said.
🗣️ “I feel good, happy, I’m writing a story in the club, it’s something unforgettable”

“I promised and dedicated it to my wife and children,” added Arroyo, who did not hide his happiness for Miami’s crown.
The footballer, who left Emelec in April due to disagreements with the management, also thanked the coaching staff headed by Gerard Martin.
“I also want to congratulate the coaching staff and leave the country and the team on top,” the Ecuadorian midfielder concluded. (D)
