Euskaraz irakurri: Arraun Lagunak, 2023ko Euskotren Ligako txapeldun

Arraun Lagunak was proclaimed champion of the Euskotren League 2023 this Sunday August 20 after win the Ikurriña de Zarautz. The San Sebastián trainera rounded off a great weekend after win on the first day of Zarautz, to be second in the second day and win the prestigious Ikurriña from Zarauztarra.

However, on the second day of the Ikurriña de Zarautz, Donostiarra prevailed with a time of 10:45.96. Arraun Lagunak suffered to maintain the 7 second advantage over Donostiarra which he obtained on the first day, but in the end he finished the regatta on Sunday 4 seconds behind the winners of the second dayand the Ikurriña de Zarautz were awarded. Tolsaldea (10:55.06) was third and Orio (10:57.60) fourth.

As far as the first batch is concerned, Hondarribia (11:13.66) imposed his law and was fifth on the second day. Sixth place went to Hibaika (11:19.16), seventh to Cabo (11:27.60) and eighth to Tirán (11:53.88).

Therefore, after adding the times of both days, lThe best was Arraun Lagunak (21:57.24)followed by San Sebastian who was second to 3 seconds and Orio who finished third to 13. Tolosaldea (22:34.74) finished fourth, Hondarribia (22:54.08) fifth, Hibaika (23:10.12) sixth, Cabo (23:18.76) seventh and Tirán (24:19.30) eighth.

After the last regatta in Zarautz, the general classification of the Euskotren League was as follows: Arraun Lagunak first with 95 points, Orio second with 86 points and San Sebastian third with 79. The fourth place corresponded to Tolosaldea (71 points), the fifth to Hondarribia (54 points), the sixth to Hibaika (39 points)the seventh to Corporal (27 points) and the eighth to Tiran (16 points).

Hibaika will play the play-off to save the category despite having finished sixth, since the Galician drifters (Cabo and Tirán) are exempt from relegation.
