Shape experts advise working out the press on the fitball for better results
Experts from Shape magazine talked about ways to increase the effectiveness of exercises to work out the press. Recommendations are given on the publication’s website.
According to experts, it is necessary to start training with a warm-up, and then gradually increase the pace. The complex should include exercises that involve both a quick change of movements and a slow one. In addition, the experts noted that it is important not to strain the muscles of the neck, and also not to hold your breath. “When twisting, inhale while stretching the abdominal muscles, and exhale while shortening, that is, at the top of the movement,” they explained.
To work out all areas of the abdomen, experts advised to perform movements in different planes with rotations, twists and flexions. They also recommended incorporating yoga and Pilates exercises into the workout to improve results. Gradually, you can add weight to them and use weighting agents, but only after the full development of the technique. Even more effective, according to experts, is to perform movements on a fitball or balancing board.
Fitness trainer Lucy Gornall spoke about exercises that harm the waist. According to her, side bends with dumbbells, as well as various types of twists, strengthen the muscles of the core, but visually make it wider. This is because such exercises help to work out the oblique abdominal muscles.
