Inter Miami is looking for its first title in Saturday’s League Cup final against Nashville SC, and its main protagonist is Argentine star Lionel Messi.
If he achieves it, it would be the first crown for those herons, who have improved their level since the arrival of the albiceleste.
Another footballer who was a figure in the club is the Ecuadorian midfielder Dixon Arroyo, who highlighted what the world champion did.
“I believe and I think the biggest motivation is to have him here. He is a great player, but not only him, but also Sergio (Busquets) and Jordi (Alba). Seeing them motivates you to win more titles,” he said.

“We follow them and try to be the support they need. Messi is a great reference, captain, he always talks to you. The best thing about him is that he only cares about winning, and that reflects on you. Seeing what he’s done makes you motivated, because he’s always thinking about winning,” Arroyo added at a press conference.
In addition, the Ecuadorian is excited to win the title with the team he joined a few months ago after leaving Emelec last April.
“These are tournaments that make you grow, why not think about winning. I am happy because of what we live. Every championship is very good for the club, as well as for the players,” he specified.
“Finals are finals, they are difficult games. Many times it happened that you don’t play, you earn them. We are impatient for tomorrow, that we can bring the title to the club. We are very motivated, but he is a great rival. We have grown, we are confident and we hope to win the game”, concluded Arroyo. (D)
