United beat Crystal Palace with Fred goal in Rangnick’s debut

This Sunday, Manchester United and Crystal Palace dueled for the 15th round of the English Championship. At Old Trafford, Cristiano Ronaldo went blank and debutant coach Ralf Rangnick’s team won 1-0, with a goal by Brazilian Fred.

With the result, the Red Devils move up to sixth place, with 24 points. The London team, led by Patrick Vieira, drops to 12th place, with 16.

In the next round, Manchester United visit Watford, on Saturday, at 2:30 pm (GMT). The Crystal Palace, in turn, receives Everton, on Sunday (12/12), at 1:30 pm (GMT).

The game – The first half was of little emotion. The two most dangerous bids were from the owners of the house. At 26, Bruno Fernandes created space and fired a great kick, but stopped in defense of Guaita.

In stoppage time, Diogo Dalot received it inside the area and hit hard, but the ball went close to the crossbar.

In the second stage, the visitors had a great chance to open the scoring with Jordan Ayew, at 30. The player took the leftover after a corner kick near the goal, but ended up sending it out.

And two minutes later, Fred opened the scoring for United. The Brazilian caught the ball at the entrance to the area and sent a shot placed with his right leg into the back of the net.
