Jumbo-Visma won the team time trial of the second stage of the Vuelta a Burgos 2023 which was held on Wednesday, August 16 and Attila Valetr (Jumbo-Visma) became the new leader of the career.

The team time trial had a distance of 13.1 km starting in Oña and ending in Poza de la Sal. Jumbo-Visma was much better than all its rivals and won the victory with a time of 14 minutes and 38 seconds. Movistar was second to 19 seconds and Bora-hansgrohe third to 30. Bora was only a second ahead of Bahrain Victorious who finished fourth.

On the other hand, Kern-Pharma was seventh 47 seconds behind the winning team, Euskaltel-Euskadi eleventh at 55 and Caja Rural-Seguros RGA twelfth to 56.

After the end of the second stage the general classification is led by Attila Valter. He is followed with the same time by his companions from the Jumbo-Visma, Jan Tratnik, Koen Bowman and Primoz Roglic who are second, third and fourth respectively. Behind, Iván García Cortina (Movitar) is fifth to 13 seconds, while the best Basque cyclist is Oier Lazkano (Movistar) who occupies sixth place, 19 seconds behind the leader.
