Nigerian footballer Sochi Agbalaka: Russia turned out to be a tough country
Sochi Nigerian defender Solomon Agbalaka told what stereotypes he had heard about Russia. His words are quoted by Sport24.
“They said that Russia is a cold country, but this is not so. I think it’s a cool country! It’s warm in Sochi, but it’s hot in Africa,” said the 19-year-old footballer. He stressed that in Nigeria he was told good things about Russia, which he was convinced of when he arrived in Sochi.
Agbalaka moved to Sochi in the summer of 2023. At the moment, he has not played a single match in the team. The football player is a graduate of the Broad City and IMF clubs.
In February 2022, the Paraguayan defender of Dynamo Moscow, Roberto Fernandez, called a ridiculous stereotype about Russia. The legionnaire admitted that he believed in a widespread fiction that bears walk the streets in Russia.
