The Argentine Leandro Paredes and the Portuguese Renato Sanches, out of the plans of the Paris Saint Germainare close to signing with Romareported the Italian press this Monday.
According to the newspaper Gazzetta dello Sportboth will travel this Tuesday to the Italian capital to undergo medical examinations and sign their contracts.
Paredes was once a playeryellow Red‘, between 2014 and 2017, and played the last season for Juventus, on loan from PSG. He will sign a two-year contract with Roma, with an option to renew for a further year. The value of the transfer is estimated at 2.5 million euros (R$ 13.5 million at current exchange rates).
Hired by PSG in January 2019 from Russia’s Zenit, the 29-year-old Argentine played 117 games and scored three goals with the French club’s shirt.
Renato Sanches, on the other hand, will be loaned, with a mandatory purchase option for 12 million euros (R$ 64 million) if he plays a certain number of games.
The 25-year-old Portuguese arrived at PSG in 2022 from Lille, where he worked with Christopher Galtier, coach of the Parisian team last season.
With the arrivals of Paredes and Sanches, Roma will replace the departure of the Serb Nemanja Matic, who went to Rennes, from France.
The Italian Championship starts next Saturday, and coach José Mourinho’s team will debut the next day in the reception to Salernitana, at 1:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
