Ecuador reached the first places in the discipline of pole vault at the Junior Pan American Games, this Saturday in Cali, with Dyander Pacho and Austin Ramos, gold and silver, respectively.
With a record of 5 meters 30 centimeters, Pacho won the gold medal in the test carried out in the Pascual Guerrero stadium. The athlete’s record is under his personal best (5 meters 36 centimeters), according to the Ecuadorian Olympic Committee (IOC).
“I am qualified for the Pan American Games, We have a new goal, we must train much more, ”said Pacho.
“I am already a South American, Pan-American U-23 champion and we have faith that everything will improve. We have to thank many people and entities that I would not be able to finish, among them is my family, “said the tricolor athlete.
The gold medal with Pacho is the fourteenth that adds the Ecuadorian delegation in the Cali appointment.
