Neymar and Al-Hilal have already reached a verbal agreement. Now, for the Brazilian player to be official in the Saudi Arabian club, there are only a few bureaucratic details left and, later, the performance of medical examinations by the star, after leaving Paris Saint Germain.
The information is from the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano. Al-Hilal, led by former Flamengo player Jorge Jesus, is preparing documents for Neymar to sign his contract this Monday. The bond will be valid for two seasons.
The Saudi club has even scheduled medical examinations for the player, who will receive a salary of 160 million euros (about R$ 860 million), approximately R$ 36 million per month.
So the most expensive transfer in history, Neymar arrived at PSG in August 2017 from Barcelona in a negotiation that revolved around 222 million euros (R$ 800 million at the time). Even without winning the much dreamed French title – the Champions League – the star won 14 cups: five French Championships, three French Cups, four French Super Cups and two League Cups.
With his arrival, Saudi Arabia will therefore have another star of world football in its local football. Currently, the league has big names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Sadio ManĂ©, Roberto Firmino, among others. Al-Hilal was runner-up in the Arab Champions Cup on Saturday, losing to Al-Nassr, CR7’s team, who scored two goals in the final.
