This Saturday, the Bayern Munchen won the Borussia Dortmund, away from home, 3 to 2, for the 14th round of the Bundesliga. The visitors’ goals at Signal Iduna Park were scored by Robert Lewandowski (2) and Kingsley Coman. Julian Brandt and Erling Haaland did it for the principals.
With the result, the Bavarian team remains at the top of the German Championship and has 34 points. Dortmund, who have 30, are in second place in the table.
Bayern Munich returns to the field on Wednesday, at 17:00 (GMT), when they receive the Barcelona for the last round of the group stage of the Champions League. Borussia Dortmund, who is eliminated from the continental tournament, will face Besiktas, on Tuesday, at home, at the same time.
The game – Borussia, coached by Marco Rose, began the duel by putting pressure on Julian Nagelsmann’s Bayern. Even at five minutes, Brandt received a good pass through from Jude Bellingham, cleared the mark and, with category, kicked into the left corner of Manuel Neuer, to open the scoring.
The visitors responded just four minutes later with Lewandowski. Thomas Muller took advantage of the opposing defense’s inattention and ended up hitting the ball with his head for the Polish top scorer, who submitted a low submission and left everything the same. Already at 43, Coman kicked hard and turned to the Bavarian team after a flaw in the home defense.
The start of the complementary stage was also intense and had a draw by Dortmund. On minute three, after Dayot Upamecano failed, Bellingham passed to Haaland, who hit the corner and scored a great goal.
Bayern’s winning goal came in the 32nd minute, again with Lewandowski. After Mats Hummels touched the ball with his hand, the center forward, with a penalty, scored his second in the match and secured the three points for the Munich club, which distanced themselves from their rivals in the championship.
