Slovak hockey player “Spartak” Tchaikovsky said that he likes in Russia
Slovak defender of the Moscow “Spartak” Michal Chaikovsky told why he decided to stay in the Continental Hockey League (KHL). It is reported by TASS.
According to the player, he has many friends in the capital team. “I didn’t consider options abroad – I wanted to stay in Russia, because I like it here,” Tchaikovsky said.
The defender added that not everyone in Slovakia liked his decision. “I also encounter hate, but there are those who understand my choice and treat it well,” said Chaikovsky, who has been playing in the KHL since 2016.
On August 25 last year, the Czech Ice Hockey Federation announced that it would not call up players from Russian clubs to the national team. Similar statements were made in Slovakia, Finland and Sweden.
