The city of Ussuriysk in the Primorsky Territory was flooded after a dam broke, which was built to contain floods. Strong water currents broke through the dam and began to flood buildings of various heights in the city, local authorities say.

Witnesses are posting videos on social media. The footage shows flooded streets, cars. One video shows two one-story buildings floating down a flooded street. Along the way, they run into shops.

It is reported that a siren sounded in the city at night. Many areas were flooded, the private sector was especially hard hit. The level in the Razdolnaya River has risen by 300 cm above the floodplain, and in the Rakovka River by 438 cm.
