Kostya Tszyu said that Fedor Emelianenko will not be allowed to fight with Tyson
Former undisputed world boxing champion Kostya Tszyu warned former mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Fedor Emelianenko against a duel with American Mike Tyson. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The athlete said that Emelianenko would not be allowed to organize a fight, as there are international rules for such fights. “Someone has to take responsibility for organizing this fight, and who will do it?” he asked.
On August 10, Fedor Emelianenko spoke about his desire to take part in a boxing match. He noted that he would like to fight with Tyson.
Emelianenko has 40 victories with seven defeats, another fight with his participation was declared invalid. The Russian owned the titles of champion organizations Pride and RINGS. He ended his career on February 5, losing to Ryan Bader by knockout in the first round.
Tyson retired in 2005. From 1987 to 1990 he was the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Tyson spent 58 fights in which he won 50 victories (44 by knockout) and suffered six defeats. Two more fights with his participation were declared invalid.
