O Barcelona announced this Wednesday the sale of Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessié to Al-Ahli, from Saudi Arabia, for 12.5 million euros (R$ 67.2 at current exchange rates).
In a statement, the Catalan club thanked Kessié for his “commitment and dedication” and wished him “luck and success in the future”.

The 26-year-old player arrived at Barca in July 2022 from Milan. For the Spanish team, he played 43 games, 16 of them as a starter, scoring three goals.
The Ivorian will be remembered by Blaugrana fans for his good performances against Real Madrid, such as in the derby at Camp Nou in which he scored the winning goal by 2-1 in the Spanish Championship.
Formed at the Stella Club of Côte d’Ivoire, Kessié passed through Atalanta and Cesena before arriving at Milan in 2017. For the ‘Rossonero’ team, he was champion of Italy in 2022.
