The five union confederations of the public sector, which signed the Centralized Collective Agreement 2023-2024 with the representatives of the Executive Power, sent a letter to the head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Alex Contreras, to express their discomfort because – to the date—has not issued a norm with the force of law that authorizes the S/600 bonus state workers despite the fact that the signed act states that this should be done in the month of July.
“It is a pleasure to go to your office to send you the cordial greetings of the CITE-Unasse-CTE-Conasep and Confetep Expanded State Unity Coalition, and at the same time express the enormous labor unrest of 562,000 public servants due to the mockery of the Ministry of Economy regarding non-payment of exceptional bonus of S/600which should have been paid last July”, detailed the official letter sent on August 8.
The leaders pointed out that the bonus payment date was a proposal from the MEF, which was well received by state workers; however, they expressed their annoyance because said agreement has not been breached.
“We verified (that) there is no will to provide an immediate solution, when you announce that just in the next two weeks you will present a Supplementary Credit Bill to meet the payment of this bond; that is, there is a breach not only of the term, but also of the norm with the force of law, since it follows that you would manage an ordinary law, when the centralized agreement with the force of law, agreed that the bond It will be approved with a norm with the rank of law, that is, of the Executive and not a law of Congress,” the document reads.
Finally, the state workers urged the Government to issue the norm with the force of law to regularize the payment of the S/600 bond to the public sector. They also warned that From August 22 to 24 they would begin days of protests to continue failing to comply with the agreements.
