The first half of the match was very busy. Goalkeeper Yann Sommer, who made his debut for Inter Milan, failed in his first action in the game. The Swiss left to cut a move with his feet, got in the way and presented Konate, who played for coverage and opened the scoring in the 6th minute.
Inter tied at 9, with an own goal by Pavlovic. With 25 on the clock, the Italians turned after Stefan de Vrij’s shot from inside the area. Konate scored again at 35, with a header, and left everything the same again. Finally, Joaquín Correa made it 3-2 for the visitors with a header, at 34 minutes.
In the second stage, RB Salzburg scored in the first minute, when he entered the area alone and finished with a header. The Austrians scored again, at 40 minutes, but Kamil Piatkowski’s goal was correctly annulled for offside. In the end, at 45 minutes, Inter Milan won the match with a goal by Stefano Sensi.
Inter Milan make their debut in Italian Championship next Saturday, the 19th, against Monza, at home. Last season, the team finished third in the competition. Before that, the team will play its last pre-season friendly against Egnatia, from Albania.
