The leader of “Zenith” Wilmar Barrios avoided disqualification for the match with “Spartak”
Colombian midfielder “Zenith” Wilmar Barrios suspended for one match of the championship of Russia. This was reported to Sport-Express by the head of the Control and Disciplinary Committee (CDC) of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Artur Grigoryants.
According to the functionary, it was taken into account that Dynamo midfielder Denis Makarov, who suffered from Barrios, is preparing to take part in the next game. “The FTC decided not to apply additional disqualifications, except for automatic ones,” said Grigoryants.
The leader of Zenit avoided disqualification for the match of the fifth round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) against Spartak. Barrios will only miss the fourth round match against Fakel.
Barrios received a red card for a foul on Makarov in the match of the third round of the RPL with Dynamo on August 6. The meeting ended with the victory of Muscovites with a score of 3:2.
