This Tuesday, Chelsea agreed to loan Angelo to Strasbourg, from France. The former Santos striker will wear the colors of the French club until the end of the European season.
“I am very motivated with this challenge and my goal is to help the team reach the top! I’m also happy to get to know French football, one of the most famous in the world, with a style of play that I like and that suits me well. I can’t wait to get started,” said the athlete.

Menino da Vila was bought by Chelsea on July 16, for 15 million euros (about R$ 80 million). He featured in three friendlies, against Wrexham, Brighton and Fulham, all in the United States.
“Angelo will now continue his development in the French top flight with Strasbourg, who are coached by former Nice and Crystal Palace coach Patrick Vieira,” said the English club.
Ângelo began his career in Santos’ professional squad at just 15 years old, in October 2020, against Fluminense, in Maracanã, becoming the second youngest athlete to debut for Peixe, just behind Coutinho.
In all, the striker made 129 games, scored five goals and provided 10 assists with the white shirt. Last season, he was the player who landed the most dribbles in the entire Brazilian Championship, with 86.
“He is a very good young player, who has already played at the highest level in his country. We had already seen him two years ago in Brazil and we are happy to receive him. I am very happy that this operation is now possible thanks to BlueCo. Angelo is very happy to be here and it’s good to see his freshness and contagious joy”, declared Marc Keller, president of Strasbourg.
