Australian scientists have found the fastest way to become stronger. It is reported by The Sun.
Experts said that a single three-second contraction of the biceps with weighting will keep the body in good shape. The study took place over the course of a month. It is noted that 26 healthy adults performed the exercise two to three times a week.
The scientists’ only condition was that the weighted bending should last at least three seconds. As a result, the authors of the work saw a noticeable increase in muscle mass: muscle contraction improved by 2.5 percent and muscle lengthening by 3.9 percent.
Previously, doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital have named a way to improve heart health through sports. A study has shown that weekly exercise reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
