Bayern target Kyle Walker expected to renew with Manchester City

One of the main targets of Bayern Munchenright-back Kyle Walker must renew with the manchester city. His current contract expires in June 2024.

According to the skysports, the 33-year-old English athlete would be closer to staying at Citizens than transferring to the Bavarian Giant. A new renewal proposal was sent to the defender, who liked what was offered and is tempted to accept it.

The interest of Manchester City and coach Pep Guardiola is to keep their main players, considering that they have already lost two of their pillars in this transfer window: the midfielder Ilkay Gundogan was sold to Barcelona and the attacking midfielder Riyad Mahrez was traded to Al-Ahli, from Saudi Arabia.

“He (Walker) is very important to us and I hope he can stay. We have another year of contract, it’s not the end. So if someone wants it, they have to negotiate with us, just like Bernardo (Silva). We will do everything (to keep them). It would be very difficult to replace these two players,” said Guardiola at a press conference.

Bernardo Silva’s case is similar to Kyle Walker’s: City offers the athlete a contract renewal, who also has proposals to leave. The main interest in the Portuguese attacking midfielder is PSG.

After losing the FA Super Cup to ArsenalManchester City debut in the Premier League against Burnley, this Friday, at 4 pm (Brasília time), away from home.
