Gallon duel for the Ecuadorian, since the opponent is experienced and has won championships in Asia.
Ecuadorian Christian Alquinga (3-0-0, with 1 KO) faces this Friday, December 3, with Brazilian Rodrigo Caporal (15-8, with 4 KOs), in a welterweight division match (170 pounds) within the Budo Sento Vol. 5 mixed martial arts (MMA) undercard belonging to the Budo Sento Championship league, which takes place in Mexico City.
After successfully debuting in the Budo Sento Vol. 3 function last July, the native of Tumbaco (Pichincha) now faces a challenge of stripes in that company because his contestant has more experience and has won several championships in Asia.
Budo Sento organizers reported the cancellation of the 135-pound championship fight to be held by Victor Madrigal and Érick Ruano. The novelty would have motivated the Caporal-Alquinga duel to become the co-star of the night.
Both Alquiga and Caporal arrive victorious at this event. The Ecuadorian is seeking his fourth triumph in MMA and his second in Budo Sento, while Caporal hopes to sign his third in a row after four losses between 2016 and 2017.
Schedules and How to See the Budo Sento Vol. 5 MMA Billboard
Budo Sento Vol. 5, which includes billboards of submission and Muay Thai, will take place this Friday, December 3 and Saturday, December 4 at the Juan de la Barrera Olympic Gym, in Mexico City.
Outside of the Mexican capital, the MMA preliminaries can be enjoyed live through Budo Sento’s Facebook and YouTube channels. The stellar ones will be broadcast by Fox Sports MX and the platform UFC Fight Pass approximately from 10:00 p.m., Ecuadorian time. (D)
