Newcastle and Aston Villa drew this Sunday in a match valid for the first round of the Premier League Summer Series, a preseason friendly tournament played in the United States. At Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, the teams ended up tied 3-3.
In addition to the two teams, Chelsea, Brighton, Brentford and Fulham are also in contention for the friendly competition. In the next round, Newcastle faces Chelsea, while Aston Villa takes on Fulham.

Aston Villa opened the scoring in the 6th minute of the first half. Ollie Watkins received a free kick in the penalty area and tipped it under the goalkeeper. At 11, the team expanded with Emiliano BuendĂa, who dominated on the left, feinted the defender and hit the first post hard.
Newcastle’s first goal came in the 27th minute, from Elliot Anderson’s feet. The midfielder received the back of the defense and left in front of the goal. Before finishing low, he still left a defender on the ground with a dry cut. At the end of the first half, at 46 minutes, the team took advantage of the opponent’s ball output error and Alexander Isak took advantage of the rebound to leave everything the same.
In the second half, Emiliano BuendĂa put Aston Villa ahead again with a 2-minute rebound. At 10, it was Callum Wilson’s turn, from Newcastle, to touch the goal after the rebound to end the count at 3 to 3.
