Audie Attar, the manager of Irish mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) Conor McGregor, has announced the timing of the return of the athlete to the octagon. His words are quoted by MMA Junkie.
Attar stated that the fighter plans to resume his career in 2024. “Don’t forget that Conor was one of the most drug tested fighters when he was active. We communicate with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), we talked with the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). We will do everything right,” he added.
On May 21, McGregor announced that he would have his next fight by the end of 2023. “Fight with [Майклом] Chandler will take place this year, 100%. December, maybe even earlier. All calls have been made, the process is running. I will fight until the end of the year, ”said the athlete.
McGregor last fought in the summer of 2021, losing to American Dustin Poirier by technical knockout. The Irishman suffered a broken leg, from which he is still recovering. In his professional career, he won 22 victories and suffered six defeats.
