A Inter Milan said goodbye to goalkeeper André Onana, this Thursday, after the player was announced as a reinforcement of the Manchester United.

In an official statement, the Italian club thanked the athlete for the season, recalling the titles won and praising his importance in the squad.

“After one season and two trophies won, Inter and André Onana say goodbye. Having arrived in the summer of 2022, the Cameroonian goalkeeper was one of the protagonists of an intense and emotional year nerazzurri. A season in which Onana proved to be an important part of the group that won the Italian Super Cup, the Italian Cup and won a great campaign until Istanbul (Champions League final). André Onana was Manchester United’s main target with the departure of David De Gea after his contract expired. You Red Devils disbursed 51 million euros (about R$ 272 million) plus four million euros in goal bonuses to count on the Inter Milan player, according to Fabricius Roman. The new contract is valid until 2028 with an option to extend for another year.

After arriving at the Italian club free of charge in July 2022, Onana quickly became the team’s starter and was important for the campaigns of the two national titles won by Inter, which made a great profit from the sale of an athlete who signed for free a year ago.
