On Friday, July 21, the 19th stage of the 2023 Tour de France will take place, a day of flat profilelike the previous one, and prior to the mountain stage on Saturday.
At 172.8 kilometres, stage 19 of the Tour begins in Moirans-en-Montagne and ends in Poligny. He unevenness is almost 2,000 meterswhile the final stretch is a false flat with a slight upward slope.
The peloton traverses the Jura mountains without any major mountainous difficulty. There are constant ups and downs, but the slopes are rarely more than 5%. In fact, the Cote du Bois de Lionge (1.9 kilometers at 5.7%) and the Ivory Coast (2.3 kilometers at 5.9%) are the only scoring uphill sections of the day. The last of them is almost 30 kilometers from the finish line.
It should be noted the uniqueness of the last 8 kilometers, which are completely straight to the finish linewith a final kilometer in slight ascent, at 1.4%.
The stage will be broadcast live on EITB. The broadcast will begin at 2:45 p.m. in eitb.eus and to the 3:15 p.m. in ETB1.
