After leaving Santos, striker Alison Matheus arranged his transfer to Sharjah Football Club, from the United Arab Emirates. The 19-year-old will now play alongside Paco Alcácer, who formed a strike partnership with Neymar at Barcelona, and Miralen Pjanic, formerly of Barcelona, Juventus and Roma.
“Every player dreams of being alongside the great stars of world football. Paco played for Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Villarreal… he has incredible experience and has played in the biggest tournaments in the world. I want to take advantage of the moment to learn from him and build history here in Sharjah”, said the athlete trained at the base of Peixe.
Founded in 1966, Sharjah FC have been champions of the UAE League Cup Winner (once), UAE Champion (six times) and UAE Cup Winner (nine times).
“I arrive very motivated with the opportunity in Sharjah. Wherever I went, I tried to do my best and help my club, always with great respect and commitment. Now it won’t be any different. I’m very focused and I’m going to work as hard as possible to be able to reward all the confidence on the field”, said the boy.
Alison had spells at Grêmio and Corinthians before arriving at Santos. In all, it was three years defending Alvinegro Praiano, going through the under-15 and under-17 categories, in addition to the under-20. In his debut year, he was the club’s top scorer in the Campeonato Paulista, with 21 balls in the net.
