Manchester City sells Mahrez to Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli

O manchester city forwarded the sale of striker Riyad Mahrez to Al Ahli, from Saudi Arabia. The player must undergo medical examinations this Thursday.

On the Algerian tip, the citizens will receive around 35 million euros (about R$ 189 million) in addition to 5 million euros in bonuses, according to the The Athletic. If approved in the health exams, the athlete must sign a three-year contract with the Arabs.

Mahrez has been left out of manager Pep Guardiola’s squad for City’s pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea in the coming days. In negotiations, the player was released to settle with his new club.

Manchester City signed Riyad Mahrez in 2018 from Leicester for £60 million. Since then, the Algerian has played in 236 games, scoring 78 goals.

During the period in which Mahrez defended the club, 13 titles were conquered: five times the Premier Leaguetwice the FA Cup, twice the FA Super Cup, three times the English League Cup and once the Champions League.
