The ex-girlfriend of the German tennis player Zverev accused him of causing bodily harm

In relation to the German tennis player Alexander Zverev, they demand to initiate a criminal case for causing bodily harm. It is reported by RTL.

The 26-year-old athlete was accused by his ex-girlfriend Brenda Patea, with whom he has a daughter. “The Berlin prosecutor’s office has filed an application to impose a fine on the tennis star as part of summary proceedings,” the report says. According to the source, the amount of the fine could be up to half a million euros.

In November 2020, another ex-girlfriend of the athlete, Olga Sharypova, accused him of domestic violence. She said that during the quarrel, he tried to suffocate her with a pillow, hit his head against the wall and twisted his arms. Sharypova added that she has no evidence of what happened, but she is ready to pass any checks, including a lie detector. However, in the end, the woman did not turn to law enforcement agencies.

Zverev is the Olympic champion of the 2020 Tokyo Games in singles. He is ranked 19th by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). The German has won the ATP Finals twice.
