With the aim of continuing to contribute to the reduction of informality in the ground freight transportation service throughout the country, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) has updated the table of referential values for the efficient application of the Tax Obligations Payment System by the Sunat.
It should be noted that the update of the table of referential values is the result of joint work with the various cargo transport unions in the country.
“Just like now, in the next two years, the MTC will issue a supreme decree to update the table of values considering variation weights referring to the minimum vital remuneration, the exchange rate, the price of fuel and the cost of tolls,” MTC said in a statement.
Updating the table of referential values for the land freight transportation service helps the tax authority to perform its functions. In addition, it reduces informality and unfair competition for the provision of said service.
Thus, through Supreme Decree No. 011-2023-MTC, the modification of annexes I and II of Supreme Decree No. 020-2021-MTC is provided, which approved the updated table of referential values.
These annexes specify the referential values for land transport of goods during operations in port and at the local level; as well as the values per ton of cargo from Lima to the main national destinations.
