New information emerges about van der Sar hospitalized

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar transferred from intensive care unit to general

Former Netherlands, Manchester United and Ajax goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has been transferred from intensive care. This is reported in Twitter former footballer.

Van der Sar said that he would be treated in a general ward. He thanked the fans for their support and expressed hope that he would be able to return home next week. The ex-goalkeeper attached a joint photo with his wife to the post.

Van der Sar’s hospitalization became known on 7 July. The ex-player had a brain hemorrhage. According to De Telegraaf, this happened while on holiday in Croatia.

As part of Manchester United, the goalkeeper played from 2005 to 2011 and won the Champions League and the Club World Cup, won the English Championship four times, took the English League Cup twice, won the FA Super Cup three times.

Together with the Dutch national team, van der Sar twice became the bronze medalist of the European Championship.
