The International Olympic Committee (IOC) made a statement about the continuation of work in the organization of the Russian athlete Elena Isinbayeva. The press service reports RIA Novosti.
The IOC commission concluded that Isinbayeva could continue to work in the organization, since she did not support the SVO in Ukraine and did not have a contract with the Russian army or law enforcement agencies. Thus, the Russian woman will remain in the commission of athletes of the committee.
Earlier on July 18, Isinbayeva announced the imminent resumption of work at the IOC. According to her, the organization took time to sort out the situation. The Russian woman added that she would return to duty in September this year. In addition, she spoke about her rank of major in the Russian army. “Those ranks that are being talked about today are nominal, since I am not and never have been in the armed forces.
