Jardine celebrates his first victory in charge of América de Mexico

The coach Andre Jardine managed to taste the first official victory in charge of América, Mexico. On Saturday, the team of the Olympic champion in Tokyo-2021 beat Puebla 3-0 and rehabilitated itself from the defeat in the opening round of Liga MX.

“We were more intense and more aggressive, and blunt despite having lost some opportunities. I saw a team with fluidity and possession of the ball, the way we want here”, highlighted the former commander of São Paulo.

In the classification, América is still in an intermediate position, but with one game less in relation to the competitors – the duel against Querétaro, valid for the second round, was postponed. For the future, Jardine shows confidence in fighting for the top positions in Liga MX.

“We are going in a good way and I am very happy with our performance, but we have to keep our feet on the ground because we have 20 days of work. We have to know what our evolution points are”, stated the coach.
