The legendary Wayne Rooney, current coach of DC United, from the MLS, sent a message to Lionel Messi, recently hired by Inter Miami. The Argentine was officially introduced this past Sunday by the American club.

Rooney, who played for a year and a half at the club he now coaches, pointed out that the American league is not easy and that Messi will find it difficult to play in the MLS.
“He won’t have an easy life here. It sounds crazy, but the players who come here think it’s a complicated league. The travelling, the different conditions in different cities and there’s a lot of energy and intensity on the pitch”, he said in an interview with The Timesfrom England.
The former English player also highlighted the importance of Messi’s arrival in the MLS.
“He brought all his teammates. Busquets and Jordi Alba also signed with Inter Miami and maybe Iniesta will also join them. Suarez too. Messi will have a coach he likes and trusts (Tata Martino). what is happening in Saudi Arabia, for MLS to bring Messi”, he analyzed.
From July 2018 to the end of 2019, Rooney played in 52 games for DC United and scored 25 goals and provided 14 assists.
