Back in England since his termination with the CorinthiansWillian is close to staying longer in the Premier League. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Brazilian agreed to stay at Fulham this Monday.

The 34-year-old has been out of touch with the club since early July. Although it seems that Willian’s departure from Fulham was certain, the two parties have resumed talks and are now close to an agreement.

The new contract can be signed this Monday, after the athlete undergoes medical examinations. Since his bond with the London club came to an end, Willian has received offers from Nottingham Forest and Saudi football.

The striker has been at Fulham since mid-2022, shortly after agreeing to leave Corinthians. The player had a disappointing second spell at the Parque São Jorge club, which was also marked by threats from fans to his family.

In charge of Fulham last season, Willian helped the team finish in 10th place in the Premier League. The Brazilian was responsible for five goals and six assists in 30 appearances for the team.
